If you enjoy a cocktail every once in a while, leave your money out of the casino if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Clean out your evening bag, your wallet, and leave all money, credit cards and cheques out of the casino. Pack whatever money you expect to use on refreshments, tipping and whatever pocket change you expect to lose and leave the rest behind.
Cynical? Absolutely not. Realistic more like. You could experience a success after a boozy night out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to hook a long toss at a smokin craps game. Don’t forget that account because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you consistently drink and gamble. The pair just do not mix.
Keeping your moola back at the hotel is a little bit drastic, but defensive measures for drastic behavior is compulsory. If you wager to succeed, then do not drink and bet. If you like to blow your assets without a worry, then consume all the gratis alcohol your stomach can handle, but don’t carry credit cards and chequebooks to toss into the mix of going after losses after your dead drunk head loses every little thing!
Let me to carry this one step further. Don’t drink alcohol and then jump on to the internet to gamble in your preferred casino either. I love to drink from the comfort of my condominium, but seeing that I’m linked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep plastic credit at my fingertips, I can’t drink alcohol and gamble.
Why? Even though I don’t drink alcohol a lot, when I drink alcohol, it’s clearly enough to blur my better judgment. I gamble, so I do not drink when wagering. If you are a drinker, don’t wager at the same time. The two mix up for an awful, and expensive, drink.
